Both fields are seen as polar opposites, however the most effective questioningand ideas happen with a combination of the both. Johan Lehrer is an authorwho studied neuroscience, but now works at combining science and the humanities. In his essay, “The Future of Science… Is Art?” he discusses the connection that each artwork and science have in relation to thinking. He does not bargain the weight that information and records have and makes it clear that “the sciences should apprehend that their truths are not the solely truths.” The necessity for a stability of arts and science was once reciprocated by way of cellist and songwriter, Yo-Yo Ma in his essay, “Necessary Edges.” He states that science is on one part of thinking, whilst artwork is on the contraryedges, however “only when science and the arts, necessary and empathetic reasoning, are linked to the mainstream will we discover a sustainable balancein society.” Neither arts nor sciences are the most necessary in this world. Statistics and experiments don’t disclose all truths; however, paintings and flute solos do no longer furnish the solutions to the questions and troubles in the world either. Instead, a balance, or equilibrium of each are critical in order to make trade in the world. If we don’t choose the following day to be simplylike yesterday, and we prefer to strengthen in opinions and ways of life, logical and emotional thinking but be put together. A combine between bothwill lead to a better, extra well-rounded future.
